Seferihisar Belediye Başkanı Tunç Soyer, UCLG-MEWA Dünya Yerel Yönetimler Birliği Ortadoğu Bölümü’nün 30-31 Mayıs’ta İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediyesi ev sahipliğinde düzenlediği Paris Anlaşması Sonrası ve Habitat III Yolunda Yerel Yönetimler konulu toplantının açılış konuşmasını yaptı.
UCLG MEWA Çevre Komitesi toplantısına, İstanbul Büyükşehir Belediye Başkanı Kadir Topbaş, UCLG üyesi Belediye Başkanları, devlet görevlileri, özel sektör temsilcileri ve akademisyenler katıldı.
Seferihisar Belediye Başkanı Tunç Soyer, Çevre Komitesi Eşbaşkanı görevini yürüttüğü derneğin açılış konuşmasında çevre korumada yerel idarelerin rolüne değindi: “ İklim değişikliği, yoksulluk gibi global sorunlara mutlaka yerel çözümler üretilmesi gerektiğine inanıyoruz. Özetle, yerel çözümler, ancak ve ancak doğayla uyumlu, insanların hem karar alma hem de uygulama süreçlerine katıldığı bir yol haritası izlenerek başarılı olabilecektir. Unutmayalım, hayat yerelde akar, ancak yerelde insanların dertlerine gerçek çözümler bulunur ve insanlık bunu idrak ettikçe geleceğin dünyası daha çok yerelleşecek ve yerel daha çok iş düşecek.“
Başkan Soyer öğleden sonraki oturumda ayrıca “Kırsaldaki nüfusun korunarak kentlerin tarımla ilişkisinin güçlendirilmesi” konulu bir konuşma yaptı.

Seferihisar Habitat III Road
Seferihisar Mayor Tunç Soyer, UCLG-MEWA World Union of Local Authorities of the Middle East Department of 30-31 May Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Treaty of Paris held at the home after the Habitat III made the opening speech on the Way to Local Authorities.
UCLG MEWA Environment Committee meeting, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Kadir Topbas, Mayor of UCLG members, government officials, private sector representatives and academics attended.
Seferihisar Mayor Tunç Soyer, Environment Committee co-chairman of the task in the association’s inaugural speech where he highlighted the role of local authorities in environmental protection: “Climate change with global problems such as poverty, we believe necessarily local solutions should be produced. In summary, local solutions, and only in harmony with nature, people’s decision-making and following a road map that will be successful as well as participate in the implementation process. Let’s not forget, life flows on the local, but has real solutions to the suffering of the local people and the future of humanity As we realize that the world will fall to more decentralization and more local business. ”
President Soyer in the afternoon session also “protecting the population from rural agriculture to strengthen the relationship with the city” made a speech.
